Invitation for Bid
Notification

March 24, 2008

The Missouri State Water Patrol will be testing potential patrol boats for its use on the Lake of the Ozarks between Memorial Day (May 26, 2008) and Labor Day (September 1, 2008).  You are invited to participate in the Missouri Water Patrol's 2008 patrol boat testing session.  The outcome of the testing will help the Water Patrol develop specifications for an Invitation for Bid that the Missouri Office of Administration, Division of Purchasing and Materials Management will release in early 2009 to competitively bid patrol boats.  In order for your boat to be considered for specification development for the Invitation for Bid in 2009, it is essential that you contact the Missouri Water Patrol now to schedule testing between Memorial Day and Labor Day this year.

The Water Patrol's preliminary requirements for desired patrol boats for testing follow:  The boats should be 27’-30’ in length, have a center console with T-top, accomplish a minimum 55 mph top-end speed, and have a twin outboard or stern drive configuration.

All costs for participating in boat testing shall be borne by the vendor.  The Missouri State Water Patrol assumes no responsibility for damage to tested boats.

Interested vendors must contact Captain Mark Richerson at 573-526-2108 to schedule a time to deliver the boat for testing.  The boat will remain on the Lake of the Ozarks for a time period to cover two (2) weekends for the Missouri Water Patrol's evaluation.
