Requesting Copies of Reports
To obtain a copy of a Water Patrol report, complete the Report Request form and forward to the MO State Water Patrol. Reports will be available approximately three weeks after the date of the incident. Some reports may require additional time, such as fatality boating accidents, drowning investigations, and criminal investigations.

Also, one copy of the report is provided free of charge to an immediate family member of each fatality victim.
6. Can I fax my request? - Fax requests will only be accepted from Law Enforcement Agencies and those entitled to a free copy of the report. All other requests for reports are to be sent in writing along with the associated fees.
